Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP)

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a global Catholic organization dedicated to serving the poor and marginalized. Founded in France in 1833 by Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, the society was inspired by the life and work of St. Vincent de Paul, the patron of charity.
The SSVP operates through small groups of members who visit and assist those in need, providing material support, spiritual encouragement, and advocacy. Its mission is rooted in love for Christ and a commitment to seeing His face in the suffering and vulnerable. The society also engages in projects such as food distribution, education sponsorship, and emergency relief. Through prayer and action, members strive to bring hope and dignity to those they serve.
